Belongs to the drivers of PCTEL (HSP) Modems. These modems are often
found in notebooks. It"s function could be (not sure) to simulate the speaker of a modem.
In my case I found it on a ECS-Desknote. After disabling that process there were
no negative effects. Do NOT disable this task if you use the modem!!!
It"s started via registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
PCTVOICE=pctspk.exe

Im having this problem from quite some time. The process pctspk.exe tends to take 100% of CPU time when i just start my laptop. It will continue to do so, making my laptop slow, until i actually end that process. Since I dont use modem, so I think it should be safe to end that process.
Now when I tried to replace the exe file with a new file I got from my friend\'s laptop, amazing thing happened. I tried copying it to system32 folder and it kept on replacing the new file with size >100kb with making a new file with size of 84kb. I have no idea how can it do it itself.
Can anyone help me fix this problem ?
